Company mission
To build the most powerful scientific R&D platform in the world.
Role
Who you are
- We're looking for someone who is curious about science and the people doing it, who is as comfortable in a funnel report as in a creative brainstorm about how to reach a new audience, and who gets energy from building something that doesn't exist yet
- We are looking for people who have 8+ years in a role where demand generation and science intersect: B2B marketing to scientific businesses, whether in life sciences, consumer goods, research software, lab automation, or similar
- You should hold at least 3 or more years experience in Salesforce, and at least 1 year working with Pardot
- Scientific grounding to communicate credibly with our technical audience. You know how research moves from discovery to market and what scientists care about. You work easily with subject matter experts to get the details right. That grounding can come from a degree, time in a lab, or years working with a company that serves scientists, such as a tools, instrumentation, or software vendor
- Strong command of data with 2 or more years of reporting and dashboard building experience: you are analytical by nature, and can leverage data to build a clear picture of how buyers move through the funnel, what each channel delivers, and what to expect from it next. You effectively use that analysis to make informed decisions about what we do next
- Depth in email and paid media, and fluency in channels like LinkedIn, Google, and G2. Experience with other approaches, such as partner advertising, is also valuable
- Range to work both ways: heads-down on your own to build and measure, and in partnership with colleagues to bring campaigns to life
- Generative AI fluency
- Marketing vendor evaluation skills
- Research shows us the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting outstanding candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply — we’d love to hear from you
What the job involves
- We are seeking to hire a Demand Generation Manager to join our fast moving team
- Scientists are working on some of the hardest problems in the world
- Your job is to make sure they find the tools that help them do it
- That starts with reaching the right people, in the right places, in a way that earns their curiosity
- As Demand Generation Manager at Dotmatics, you will build the programs that make it happen, find the channels and partners that put our story in front of scientists and scientific businesses, and own the reporting that shows how they move through the buying journey
- Part of your time will be spent building: designing campaigns, getting them out the door, and measuring what happens. The rest will be spent working alongside colleagues across the organization to bring those campaigns to life, including colleagues in Solution Marketing, Marketing Operations, Sales, Product, and more
- Build and run multi-channel campaigns across email, paid media, partner advertising, and inbound, including how we show up in AI-driven search, to help us connect with the right people. You'll own the paid budget, deciding where to invest and what to try next
- Build relationships with agencies, vendors, and media partners who extend our reach and put our story in the right places
- Surround our events with digital programs that carry them beyond the venue, before, during, and after
- Turn positioning and messaging into campaign assets and content that resonate with the personas we want to reach, and find creative ways to put that content in front of scientists
- Own the demand funnel end to end, analyzing conversion at each stage, understanding the lifecycle of a deal, and building the reporting and forecasting that show where we can improve efficiency and output
- Work across the marketing team to launch campaigns, and share what the data teaches you so we can close the loop, iterate, and grow
Our take
Scientific breakthroughs require collaboration in research efforts, but the challenge of obtaining and using meaningful scientific data is generally a major choke point, delaying and even derailing projects that could otherwise have yielded major discoveries. Dotmatics was founded to solve this problem, providing a collaborative R&D platform that could keep up with the evolving data challenges facing research teams.
Dotmatics' platform connects and organizes disparate sources of scientific data for use in research work, and supplements this with a range of applications to allow for collaboration, reporting and improved workflows. Its solution is used by more than two million researchers worldwide and has been adopted by major firms such as Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb and Moderna.
Having recently been acquired by Siemens, Dotmatics is entering a new phase of scale and ambition. By combining its scientific intelligence platform with Siemens' AI capabilities, Digital Twin technology, and global industrial software footprint, the company is ready to extend its impact from research labs tof ully manufacturing value chains. The deal not only expands Siemens' total addressable market by $11B but also creates a first-of-its-kind digital thread connecting R&D through production in Life Science. For Dotmatics, the acquisitions shows the strategic importance of solving the scientific data bottleneck and signals that its platform is set to play an even larger role in accelerating breakthrough innovation worldwide.
