Our take
OpenZeppelin first launched as a crypto security and services company focused on protecting crypto organizations' assets.
Since it launched in 2015, OpenZeppelin has built an impressive roster of clients, including Coinbase, Ethereum Foundation and Aave. Its team has built the world's most popular Open Source Library for Smart Contract development too. As such, the company has built an enviable reputation in the crypto security market.
OpenZeppelin has worked hard to build out its technology to solve the biggest challenges facing DeFi developers, such as security and operations risks. It now safeguards tens of billions of dollars in crypto assets, which is testament to the DeFi industry's confidence in its products.
