Who you are
- The ideal candidate should have experience collaborating with global, distributed teams, and be comfortable driving People Operations best practices, processes and programs
- You have 3+ years of HR experience with a strong understanding of US employment law
- You bring hands-on experience managing people tech systems, including troubleshooting integrations like APIs, SFTPs, and other connections
- You have worked in compliance-heavy environments and are familiar with Leave of Absence processes
- You’re proactive and action-oriented, with a knack for solving problems independently
- Your analytical and numerical skills are top-notch, and you pay close attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills are second nature to you
What the job involves
- Our People team is looking for a People Support Specialist who will be responsible for managing employee’s day-to-day questions, constantly improving process and documentation, and being a part of taking our People Support Help Desk practice to the next level
- Ticket Management
- Respond to employee tickets accurately and within SLA timelines for requests such as data changes, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting
- Deliver exceptional customer service, prioritizing employee experience
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Administer US benefits, Leave of Absence requests, and exemption status updates
- Serve as a trusted advisor for People Team policies, procedures, and local compliance matters
- Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits and reviews
- Systems & Technology
- Manage people tech systems, including system integrations, APIs, SFTPs, and other technical connections to ensure data flow and system functionality
- Partner with internal teams globally to optimize and enhance system capabilities, driving efficiency and scalability
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within HR processes, continuously evolving workflows
- Document processes for internal training and external self-service
- Reporting & Collaboration
- Generate workforce reports on headcount, attrition, and other key metrics
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, and Sales Operations teams during payroll cycles
- Support People Team initiatives, including time tracking, Leave of Absence programs, and building a Knowledge Management System (KMS) and policy repository
Our take
While in-site searching has been available for some time from web search servers such as Google and Bing, its functionality is limited due to it relying on general web scraping techniques which can miss relevant information. By contrast Algolia indexes only the company's site, allowing its search to serve accurate results extremely swiftly, which helps to drive sales conversions aside from making sites far more usable. The efficacy of this solution can be seen from its customer base of over 10,000 companies including the likes of Slack, Zendesk and Lacoste.
To diversify and increase the product range, Algolia have expanded into other real-time APIs such as product recommendations available for eCommerce websites. With the company performing extremely well over the last few years, Algolia have recruited key senior executives to further its growth. As the company continues to scale it seems likely that an IPO is not too distant a prospect.
