Role
Who you are
- Current enrollment as a law student; second-year students preferred
- Demonstrated interest or experience in fintech and finance
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- A mindset focused on process improvement
- Strong ownership of tasks with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative work ethic with the legal team and other DriveWealth teams
- Capacity to manage multiple competing projects and priorities
- Currently pursuing a JD degree with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
- Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week
- Must reside in the NY metro area; relocation support will not be provided
- Must be available from Monday, June 2, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025
What the job involves
- DriveWealth is seeking a legal intern to join our dynamic team during the summer of 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a current law school student to support the legal team in all aspects of DriveWealth’s business
- Collaborate with the legal and regulatory operations teams to advise sales, product, compliance, operations, and technology on legal matters related to DriveWealth's relationships, product offerings, workflows, and compliance initiatives
- Analyze and guide relevant rules, regulations, and trends in the financial services industry
- Conduct first-level reviews of contracts, including NDAs, carrying agreements, and vendor agreements
- Provide support on special projects with a team-oriented approach
