Who you are
- An undergraduate student in a four-year program with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027
- Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above
- Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage in their leadership style
- Crisp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently, and effectively with people at all levels
- Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required, foreign language skills are a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges

What the job involves
- Santander US Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for the best talent to support our growth ambition and become future leaders through our 2026 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program
- Our Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program, beginning in June 2026, provides comprehensive training and an introduction to Santander CIB and its capabilities
- You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the Internship
- This 2026 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program is for undergraduate students in a four-year program who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027
- You will become part of an international business working with teams across different geographies
- You will be working in an environment where teamwork and partnership is critical to deliver the best solution for our clients
- You will be partnered with a mentor, who is able to provide you with guidance and advice throughout the summer while immediately building your Santander network

- Santander Investment Banking (IB) teams provide global advice to corporate clients supporting them in the execution of their strategic goals
- Whether it is raising capital for an expansion or buying another company, investment bankers provide innovative and creative financial solutions for all clients’ needs
- Our bankers are focused on developing long-term relationships and crafting strategies that help our clients grow and innovate
- We provide sound advice, offer clients access funding, and execute transactions, all while helping clients manage risks in today’s complex environment
- We work across teams to bring comprehensive solutions to clients’ challenges, allowing them to achieve their objectives and remain competitive across global markets
- Our industry and product teams include Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Equity Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, Financial Sponsors, Healthcare, Leveraged Finance, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging, and Global Debt Financing
- This program will provide the skills and experience to become a thoughtful, strategic advisor
- You’ll learn the nature of client service and how we build long-term relationships by putting their needs first, while developing the technical acumen to launch a career in banking
- For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week

In addition to these digital advancements, Santander has joined forces with Iberpay in Spain to become inaugural participants in the European Payments Council’s One-Leg Out Cross-border Transactions Instant Scheme (OCT Inst). This initiative is set to introduce global instant transfers, further emphasising Santander's commitment to innovation and enhancing its service offerings in the digital banking landscape.
