Software Engineering Manager, Kaluza

• Experience leading high-performing, cross-functional teams of software engineers and data scientists, or a strong desire to step into your first engineering management role
• A genuine interest in people management, with a passion for coaching and developing others
• The ability to support individual growth while delivering against team and business goals
• Clear and confident communication skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• A solid technical foundation, including an understanding of automated testing, continuous delivery, and agile ways of working in cloud-based environments (AWS or GCP)
• A thoughtful and resilient approach to learning new domains and technologies, with the ability to connect technical work to meaningful business outcomes

Desirable

• Reporting to: Head of Engineering - Flex
• You’ll lead a team of engineers and analysts, supporting their growth, managing performance, and creating an inclusive, high-performing environment
• Working closely with Product Managers, you’ll help shape the technical direction and ensure your team delivers reliable, scalable, and well-observed systems
• While you won’t be coding day to day, you’ll use your technical experience to guide architecture and support the team through complex challenges
• You’ll also play a key role in improving how the team works, removing blockers and driving continuous improvement, while helping deliver products that connect renewable energy with smart devices, enabling offerings like Vehicle-to-Grid and Charge Anytime
• Alongside this, you’ll contribute to the wider engineering community, promoting strong practices and helping raise the bar across teams
