Role
Who you are
- Experience in a leadership role in rapidly scaling businesses and/or new market launches
- Data-driven, growth-hacking mindset, with expertise in acquisition forecasting and commercial analysis
- Strong background in D2C marketing, preferably eCommerce
- Deep understanding of the Irish market and consumer behaviour
- Proven success developing and executing multi-channel strategies and managing £1m+ marketing budgets
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Strategic, results-oriented approach with a passion for innovation and problem-solving, ideally gained in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead our customer acquisition efforts in Ireland
- This is a unique opportunity to help scale a new and growing market, backed by the resources of an established UK business
- Reporting to the Head of Acquisition, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing the strategy that brings new customers into the Gousto experience
- Working closely with teams across brand, insights, PR, trading, and tech, you’ll ensure that every marketing pound is spent where it can make the greatest impact
- Lead the development and delivery of our marketing strategy in Ireland to drive new customer growth
- Oversee go-to-market activity across all paid channels
- Manage forecasting, performance and spend across key acquisition metrics
- Optimise marketing investment to maximise ROI and sustainable growth
- Test and evaluate new acquisition channels to uncover further opportunities
- Represent the voice of the Irish customer across the business
- Collaborate closely with Brand, Insights, PR, Trading and Tech teams
- Ensure acquisition efforts align with brand and commercial goals
- Partner with Product and Tech to support marketing through test-and-learn
- Champion inclusive and ethical marketing practices
Our take
There is an accelerating consumer need to eat healthily, sustainably, and at value. Gousto aims to meet this need with its meal-kit delivery service, which offers pre-packaged ingredients and recipe instructions. It sets itself apart with more than 200 different recipes to choose from each week - a third of which are customisable.
In 2021, Gousto sold more than 90 million meals, amounting to three meals every second, a figure that is on the rise. It is part of the UK Plastics Pact, which advocates for 100% reusable, recyclable and compostable plastic. As a member, Gousto has committed to eliminating problematic plastics, stimulating innovation and helping to build a stronger recycling system in the UK.
Gousto became a B Corp certified company for its sustainability efforts. Following huge investments in 2023, the company is now a unicorn and is sure to continue its growth over the coming years as more consumers switch to convenient online grocery shopping.
