Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science/Maths/Physics or similar discipline
- 5+ years of relevant, broad software engineering experience
- Talented and ambitious individual looking for hard challenges and rewarding career in a fast growing company with a grand vision and a killer product
- Able and willing to work intensely for long periods of time; having previously worked in top tier tech and financial companies a plus
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (Python is strongly preferred with other languages including C++, C#, Java, TypeScript)
Desirable
- Experience as founder / CTO or founding member of a rapid growth start up will make you stand out!
- Prior experience working as part of a growth-focused team
- Prior experience in top financial institutions
What the job involves
- Play a pivotal role in the evolution of our platform architecture, from MVP to scale-up; work alongside our CTO and CPO to make our platform more capable, flexible and scalable
- Work closely with sales, operations and customer-success teams to deliver platform capabilities
- Rapidly internalise the complex interplay of finance, logistics and industrial processes that underpins our product
- Lead in the design/implementation of the internal financial risk system to represents all aspects of the trading lifecycle that Ferovinum participates in
- Effectively communicate complex features/systems design to collaborate and drive the product roadmap

Ferovinum has developed an end-to-end digital platform that empowers businesses to fund, produce, procure, and sell in global wine and spirits markets.
The producers of spirits and wines are generally small to medium-sized businesses, and Ferovinum’s pitch is that its technology, which provides working capital and supply chain automation tools, will benefit from this rocket-boosted tech. It offers a comprehensive suite of foundational services, including capital funding, supply chain automation, international logistics, and access to global trade channels. The company’s founders certainly have experience in financial management, one having overseen structured commodity financing at the Macquarie Group and the other having a history of executive directing restructuring for investment banks.
With production and distribution tools at its disposal, Ferovinum offers predictive inventory management, seamless integration, and international logistics. Its one-size-fits-all technology has already benefitted some of the oldest scotch whiskey distilleries in Scotland on a pilot scheme, funded by a £100 million investment in Ferovinum in 2021. Though still in its early days, the company seems set to attract more clients as its technology evolves.
