Staff Accountant, Just

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in an AP/AR/Payroll accounting
• Monthly Close and Account Reconciliations
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet a deadline
• Good communication skills verbal and written
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems, including processing systems and applications
• Sage Intacct experience
• Group Consolidation experience is strongly preferred

Desirable

• We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join the Just Insure team
• The Staff Accountant works closely with the Financial Controller and supports the team with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, recording and verifying revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities for the company, and helping coordinate closing activities and reporting
• Managing full-cycle accounting duties to manage the month-end close process
• Manage the payroll processing and payroll systems for all employees
• Code and enter vendor expense invoices and other day-to-day financial transactions including transactions with VAT for UK entity
• Reconcile revenue, bank, and credit card accounts as well as other balance sheet accounts
• Reconcile AP, AR, Cash, Payroll Liabilities each month and ensure accuracy in the ledger
• Prepare daily cash flow
• Prepare support documentation for the auditor and tax accountants

• This process is mandatory, as we are a regulated insurance company
• Additionally, if your role has access to any financial information - bank accounts, accounting systems, we will also conduct a consumer credit history report via our background check provider
• The above processes take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to complete, which are dependent on how many states and counties you've lived in, in the past 7 years
• Onboarding stages:
• One of our People team members will be reaching out to get your details confirmed for your start date
• We will be finalizing any equipment orders and establishing a delivery date to receive your equipment
• An employee account will be generated for you via BambooHR, where you will create a profile for yourself (introduction, upload a photo, etc.) and complete any documents required prior to your start date: W2, i9, employee handbook, legal notices, benefits information, etc
