8+ years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer
Prior experience with Go
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Experience in using and creating RESTful APIs, which will be consumed by our frontend engineers and our customers

What the job involves

As a backend software engineer you’ll join our Customer Identity, Risk, and Compliance team, continuing to reduce risk for our customers and ensure regulatory compliance
Your work will span critical areas of the platform including transaction monitoring (fraud and anti-money laundering), Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), suspicious activity reporting (SAR), account verification, as well as continuing to expand the scope of customer data within the platform
Develop application services in Go (Golang)
Work with the product team and other engineers to understand financial services challenges and develop solutions to address them
Be a leader on the ground and in the code
Keep learning, keep growing and help your team do the same
Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes
Envision cleaner, simpler ways to solve problems
Keep learning, keep growing and help your team do the same
Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams
Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
