DevOps Team Lead, EVBox

• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams and passion for developing and coaching team members
• 6+ years of strong commercial software development experience relevant to our tech stack with focus on infrastructure
• Extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure providers (preferably GCP)
• Experience designing and maintaining highly available, redundant, and performant cloud infrastructure
• Experience in delivering and providing support for low latency software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity
• Extensive experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks
• Passion for quality

• Platform Foundation is in charge of the most crucial and core elements of our solutions. They manage cloud infrastructure, data platform, core services, and many aspects of the developer’s experience. Next to being responsible for authentication and authorization, global search and notifications services, Platform Foundation teams support other teams in building scalable and secure solutions
• Our software engineers are ambitious and autonomous and will remain the subject matter expert of their discipline. Therefore, we don’t expect you to be a specialist in all categories. The role is equally balanced between hands-on technical work and being a leader for the team
• As a Team Lead, your daily work composition depends on the current needs of the team and priorities you identify. You and your team will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, therefore direct people management responsibilities will not be the main responsibility for the Team Lead
• Software engineers at EVBox build new products, enhance existing solutions, and resolve many interesting challenges daily. They work on the stability, reliability, and security of our solutions while ensuring high quality and scalability
• This work is delivered while embracing a culture based on the Site Reliability Engineering principles. Everyone is empowered to make bold decisions while assuming responsibility and ownership for the products they build
• Build and lead the team of 5-9 engineers and define the team processes
• Conduct complex analysis and provide recommendations on the utilization of emerging and existing technologies
• Create, enhance, and mature disaster recovery solutions
• Drive initiatives to continuously improve platform performance, quality and reliability
• Create and maintain automation to ensure security across a geographically dispersed hosting environment
• Support client efforts to integrate to the platform by providing technical subject matter expertise
• Be responsible for the performance and productivity of the team, as well as the well-being of its members
• Manage stakeholders and cross-team dependencies, as you will be the main point of contact for communication to the team
• Design technical solutions the team is responsible for together with the software development, product and architecture teams
• Coordinate daily team activities and their delivery, help manage team's priorities and velocity in collaboration with other key stakeholders
• Be a role model to help your team develop and grow by setting and guarding the bar for technical excellence
• Own team backlog and prioritization
• Develop a plan to achieve team goals on time and with measurable outcomes
