Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of regional event or field marketing experience within SaaS B2B, with a track record of executing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
- Located on the East Coast or EST timezone
- Sales Alignment: Proven ability to partner effectively with sales teams, understanding the nuances of the sales cycle to align marketing efforts with business goals. Comfortable with aligning goals to sales VP’s and C-Level internal stakeholders
- Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to influence decisions, optimize campaigns, and track performance
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce, project management tools, and marketing platforms like 6sense or Looker for tracking and reporting campaign and sales activity
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities on time, within budget, and with limited resources
- Developer Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the developer ecosystem and familiarity with DevOps concepts
What the job involves
- LaunchDarkly’s Revenue Marketing team is looking for a Field Marketing Manager to help drive our mission to empower all teams to deliver and control their software. This role will serve as the bridge between sales and marketing in the AMERS East region, reporting to our Manager of Field Marketing
- This role will join our growing Field & Events Marketing team, owning end-to-end planning and implementation of field marketing events in Americas East. You’ll partner closely with regional sales teams to build and execute a multi-faceted marketing strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth in one of our most dynamic and high-growth regions
- Execution and measurement of field marketing programs (both virtual and in-person) tailored to AMERS audiences, ensuring we educate, engage, and inspire target accounts
- Lead and support the end-to-end management of events, including venue/platform selection, vendor management, creative branding, logistics, partner integration, onsite/virtual support, internal communication, and post-event reporting
- Build a close partnership with AMERS Sales leadership to align marketing efforts with regional business objectives and drive pipeline growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, campaigns, and brand/design teams to develop localized messaging, content, and CTAs for field marketing initiatives
- Partner with the Marketing team on pre- and post-event campaign promotion and follow-up strategies to maximize ROI
- Monitor and report on key metrics, including stage movement, pipeline influence, and regional account penetration
- Operates as a strategic advisor to sales and marketing leadership, providing insights and recommendations for scaling field marketing efforts
Our take
Feature flags are a powerful software development tool, allowing teams to modify system behavior without changing code, therefore minimizing risk. If a business has a new feature they want to test, they can then roll it out to a small set of users before letting it go live. These companies can, for example, get quick feedback on the new feature and fix any bugs, or roll back any changes.
LaunchDarkly allows companies to run tests like this by activating the new code for only a small set of users prior to launch. Typically running these tests requires lots of developer time - a daunting and expensive prospect for most rapidly growing businesses - and can risk disruption to the user experience if testing takes place on the live product.
The platform is used by more than 1,500 customers, including the likes of IBM, Intuit and Atlassian. Signalling a change in strategy, the company shook up its management in 2023 and is now aiming to scale its already strong growth under the leadership of Dan Rogers, a product and marketing specialist with an impressive track record at Rubrik, AWS and Microsoft. It is now well poised to develop into a leading business in the feature management space.
