Who you are

  • Extensive knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and their practical applications
  • Expertise with social media analytics and listening tools
  • Proficiency in segmentation, content analysis, and web analytics tools, with a strong ability to evaluate and integrate new, innovative data solutions to enhance strategy
  • Experience with analytics within media performance data and audience targeting
  • Strong data visualization and reporting skills
  • Excellent storytelling/story-building skills
  • A curious mind and a passion for understanding what drives consumers & culture
  • 4+ years of digital and social media analytics and insights experience
  • Ability to evaluate campaign/creative effectiveness to foster brand growth and audience engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Implementation of surveys and primary research initiatives that uncover critical consumer insights, leveraging a range of research methodologies (e.g., ethnographies, focus groups, online surveys) to ensure robust and valid data collection

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a Senior Data Strategist to join us at Translation! Please note that this role requires three days in office and two days remote
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive measurement strategies and frameworks across multiple product streams
  • Uncover and communicate audience insights internally to foster a deeper understanding of customer segments
  • Guide strategic conversations around campaign measurement, ensuring alignment on the key performance indicators
  • Deliver sharp, multi-channel performance reports that provide actionable insights
  • Positively challenge assumptions and contribute to creative ideation by asking the right questions and offering strategic insights
  • Design and execute surveys and methodologies for primary research, illuminating audience truths

Our take

Music distribution services provide ways for musical artists to release their music in both digital and physical formats. However, musicians usually don't retain the often lucrative rights to audio masters and audience insights, and merchandising and concert tickets must be organised elsewhere.

UnitedMasters is a music distribution service that acts as a direct pipeline for musicians and their commercial efforts. The service allows users to retain the rights to audio masters and audience data, in addition to providing a platform for the sale of merchandise and concert tickets. The startup’s aim is to give artists full control over the monetisation of their music based on a regular subscription cost.

UnitedMasters has raised a large amount of funding from investors such as Apple, a16z and Alphabet, and has partnered with companies such as Bose, TikTok, and Twitch. These partnerships along with continued innovation make it possible for artists to access large record deals through their music, a feature not offered by many other music distribution services.
