Who you are
- 2-4 years of experience in a client-facing role within industries such as technology consulting, SaaS implementation, professional services, or enterprise account management, with a focus on delivering technical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions, map out complex processes, and produce high-quality technical documentation (e.g., integration designs, workflows, SOPs)
- Hands-on experience working with APIs, databases, and web technologies in a professional or project-based setting
- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional relationships and delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
What the job involves
- As a Product Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional partner experiences by serving as the technical point of contact for key brand partners
- This role goes beyond day-to-day troubleshooting—it’s about guiding partners through the design, development, testing, and launch of innovative card programs, as well as identifying opportunities for long-term growth and expansion
- You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across Imprint, leveraging your technical expertise to gather requirements and implement solutions
- Whether designing integrations (e.g. , API, SFTP), mapping out data-sharing workflows, or addressing platform functionality, your work will directly impact the success of our partners’ programs
- Collaboration is key in this role—you will build strong relationships with external stakeholders while inspiring confidence in the Imprint product
- Internally, you’ll help scale our operations by driving improvements, creating scalable practices, and fostering a culture of continuous innovation
- Lead partner engagements: Act as the technical expert to guide partners through program design, implementation, and launch phases
- Design and document processes: Create and refine documentation, including integration designs, process workflows, and SOPs, to ensure smooth execution
- Solve technical challenges: Partner with Engineering and Operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues involving APIs, databases, and data sharing
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with internal teams to ensure solutions align with partners’ needs and enhance platform functionality
- Optimize practices: Identify inefficiencies, propose scalable solutions, and implement best practices to drive operational efficiency
- Build strong partnerships: Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating expertise and a consultative approach
Our take
These days, all sorts of cards abound, from virtual cards to co-branded credit cards. Imprint aims to stand out in the increasingly crowded space by partnering with businesses to provide branded rewards cards for customers.
While there has been an increase in the number of companies offering branded financial products to reduce costs, Imprint sees its card programs as offering a new platform for deepening customer relationships: less of the nastiness of credit and a much greater focus on rewards.
The startup is focusing on refining its embedded finance solution to fulfil its vision of an Apple-pay like experience for merchants and consumers.
Imprint will hope that its lightweight service, fit for smaller customers like hotel chains, will allow it to compete with the major venture-backed players in the space like Cardless, Apto and Alviere. Its $75 million in venture capital raised in 2023 will go some way towards achieving these aims.
