Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as a front-end engineer with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks
- Expertise in micro frontend architecture and the ability to design and develop modular, scalable web applications
- Experience with State Management libraries such as Redux or React Context
- Experience working with React Router, CSS3, Styled-Components, and API integration tools such as Axios or Fetch
- Experience with bundling tools like Webpack 5, and familiarity with build processes to ensure optimized frontend performance
- Experience working with Backstage or similar platforms for managing internal developer portals and processes
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development best practices, including component-based architecture, state management, and performance optimization
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library (RTL), Cypress, Playwright
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating frontend applications with containerized backends (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with frontend applications
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and translate technical challenges into business solutions
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a focus on continuous delivery and iterative development
What the job involves
- As a Software Engineering Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a talented group of engineers, guiding them through the complexities of software engineering and overseeing the delivery of robust, scalable solutions
- You'll leverage your technical expertise to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security while aligning with our strategic vision
- This role will give you the opportunity to work with modern tech stacks, micro frontends, and cloud-based architectures, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Lead the front-end engineering team in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications using micro frontends
- Architect and implement micro frontend solutions, ensuring seamless integration and consistent user experiences across different web components and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Backend) to translate business requirements into high-quality frontend solutions
- Champion the adoption of Backstage to centralize and optimize internal development workflows, ensuring alignment across multiple teams and services
- Enforce best practices in frontend development, including code quality, modularization, performance optimization, and responsive design
- Manage the front-end development roadmap, balancing business needs, user experience, and technical constraints
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the front-end engineering team, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in frontend technologies, tools, and frameworks, ensuring that our stack remains modern and competitive
