Role
Who you are
- Qualified and experienced. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. 8+ years of progressive finance experience
- Hands-on. You're comfortable running month-end close on Monday and preparing board materials on Friday. No task is beneath you
- Commercially sharp. You don't just report the numbers, you interrogate them. You're not afraid to challenge when the numbers don't add up
- Startup-wired. You thrive in ambiguity. You build systems where none exist. You're energised
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- 8+ years in finance, with meaningful time in VC-backed SaaS startups
- Experience as a sole or first finance hire in a scaling business
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Familiarity with usage-based pricing models preferred
- Experience with multi-entity structures USA, UK and Ireland
What the job involves
- Reporting to the CEO
- We're a 30-person company scaling rapidly with a usage-based revenue model
- We need someone to own finance end-to-end
- You will be taking ownership of a function from the ground up - we have reached a scale where we need strong stewardship of this critical function
- You'll be the person who makes sure the numbers are clean, the forecasts are credible, and the leadership team has the financial clarity to make good decisions fast
- You'll work closely with the leadership team, not in a back office
- We have existing accounting infrastructure in place, but it needs a proper owner who can run the day-to-day while also thinking strategically about how we scale
- Own management accounts, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Manage AP and AR
- Ensure tax compliance across USA, UK and Ireland
- Own relationships with external accountants and auditors
- Build and own the company budget with regular reforecasting
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions
- Track and report on SaaS and usage-based metrics: ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC, LTV, revenue per transaction
- Prepare board packs and investor reporting
- Support the leadership team on resource allocation, hiring plans, and go-to-market investment
- Support fundraising preparation when the time comes
- Provide commercial analysis on pricing, customer economics, and unit economics
- Manage payroll coordination across USA, UK and Ireland
- Handle procurement and vendor management
- Jump in wherever else you are needed!

Data privacy can be complicated for those who don’t want to read thousands of pages of regulations. Evervault is focused on building a unique data-privacy interface that developers can use when creating software, providing simple developer tools to deploy applications in hardware-hardened containers, enabling clients to focus on building products rather than security.
Evervault plans to offer its service as an API to allow developers to seamlessly build it into the software stack of whatever they are creating. Around 3,000 developers are on the company's waitlist for its encryption engine, such as drone delivery firm Manna, fintech startup Okra and health tech company Vital.
The company has gained a lot of traction in recent years, processing more than $5 billion in transactions. It's using a substantial 2026 fundraise to grow its engineering and product teams, expand its encryption infrastructure and boost its R&D efforts.
