Role
Who you are
- Undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience of programming in C++ (or another C like language)
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Familiarity with Linux, SQL and knowledge of basic Linux system administration tasks
- Strong critical thinking, communication and organisational skills
- Ambitious, motivated, not afraid to try new tasks and high personal integrity
- Not afraid to get stuck into tasks you’ve never done
- Able to commute to London office location regularly (hybrid work schedule)
What the job involves
- Our C++ development team builds our real-time exchange technology which includes order handlers, matching engines, market data distribution and everything else in between
- This dedicated and focussed team runs some of Europe's largest exchanges where every team member makes a significant contribution to the success of the business
- This is an excellent opportunity for an intern to gain insight into what it takes to operate a large, complex platform reliably and efficiently
- Develop high quality C++ software in accordance with Cboe software engineering processes
- Be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with team members to solve technical challenges
- Participate in team ceremonies such as our stand-up, planning and operations meeting
