Who you are
- Must be fascinated with gamers and what drivers their enthusiasm and loyalty
- Bachelor’s degree with gaming or consumer products experience or MBA. Business, Engineering or Marketing degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in product marketing, business development, product or project management, or another related field
- Knowledge of the gaming space either through industry experience or lifelong passion
- Ability to use instinct to leverage consumer/market research & behavioural data to formulate insights that inform strategic plans and product roadmaps
- Strategic thinker with a global mindset who can accurately assess strategic priorities and identify core gamer needs
- Excellent time management skills; able to drive results across multiple parallel processes across multiple regions under tight deadlines
- Uses understanding of cultural differences to influence actions and decisions
- Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across cross-functional and global teams and at all levels of the organization. Must genuinely like interaction with people and contributing to a group
- PlayStation fan, is a huge plus
What the job involves
- The Product Manager of Limited-Edition Peripherals will help drive the product vision for limited edition and regular assortment products, collaborating with internal and external partners to create product offerings that resonate deeply with the gaming community. This role focuses on identifying gamer needs, shaping product roadmaps, and driving market success by fostering fandom and achieving revenue growth through innovative products
- Assist in developing and championing a product strategy for limited edition and custom variant products over an 18-month horizon, rooted in deep insights into gamer passions and market trends and our ability to execute on them
- Assist in the creation of product roadmaps by leveraging consumer research, behavioral data and gamer feedback to identify opportunities that drive engagement and fandom
- Acting as the voice of the gamer, ensuring products align with their desires and enhance their experience, while bringing concepts to life
- Interaction with internal teams and game studios to ensure products align with product vision and broader brand goals and market strategies
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure products resonate with target audience
- Interface with Brand Marketing, Project Management and commercial groups to ensure alignment with strategy and product release plans
- Defining and ensuring key performance indicators such as unit sales, gamer sentiment are tracked, using data to iterate and optimize product offerings
- Staying ahead of industry trends and cultural shifts to anticipate gamer needs and position products for maximum impact
- Assist Marketing Operations in the creation of quarterly postmortem analysis on product performance and gamer reception to incorporate learnings and refine processes
- Along with the organization deliver on KPIs such unit sales, profit and gamer sentiment

Its consoles are iconic in the gaming community - Playstation has produced both the top-selling and fastest-selling console of all time - and the company is still pushing boundaries. Its current flagship - the PS5 - promises to revolutionize gaming, featuring new technology that will create improvements across the board.
As well as its consoles, PlayStation has also developed online services, connecting its users and giving them access to diversified media. A PlayStation can be used for a huge range of activities - from Netflix to guided workouts - which has led to the expansion of the company's audience over time and across generations.
PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
