Who you are
- Demonstrated experience in product management working with mobile technology products in the B2C space
- Proven experience developing and implementing subscription or freemium models
- Strong understanding of feature segmentation and the ability to determine feature value for those different user segments
- Demonstrated experience in defining and analysing user willingness to pay for different features and segments
- Experience with preparing A/B testing and other methodologies for experimentation around the optimisation of subscription packages, B2C offerings, and upsell mechanics
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to make data-driven product decisions
- Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager for the Subscription Value of Flo, you’ll be crucial in optimising our subscription offerings as we begin to explore more complex revenue mechanics and tiers of subscription
- You’ll be determining the features to include in our freemium, tiered, and premium add-on packages, as well as developing, preparing and testing subscription bundles, collaborating across teams to integrate these features into Flo's new premium product strategy
- You’ll work autonomously and collaboratively with Marketing Managers, UX specialists, Product Designers, Analysts, Content and Engineering teams, managing the roadmap, contributing to the company’s goals, and making data-informed decisions to drive user experience, trials, subscriptions and LTV
- Assessing and determining which features should be included as freemium, tier 1, or tier 2 premium add-ons
- Preparing, testing, and refining subscription packages and bundles to maximise value and engagement
- Building a strategy for the team aligned with the company's vision
- Managing clear, thoughtful product requirements and feature descriptions to help teams work efficiently and effectively
- Leading the team in establishing initiatives that are set and measured as part of the company OKR process
- Partnering with content product teams to understand the needs of the different segments and cover the needs holistically across all segments
- Defining the willingness to pay for different features across user segments
- Collaborating with onboarding, growth UX, and promotional teams to deliver and enhance the premium offering strategy
- Analysing data and user feedback to improve and adapt the subscription value proposition continuously
- Applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, customer understanding, and product intuition to inform your decisions and approach
- Being a reliable and proactive member of an established team

Flo is an AI powered period tracking app that allows users to access health insights relating to their cycle by inputting experienced symptoms and cycle dates. AI is leveraged to improve the personalised predictions of upcoming symptoms or periods, allowing the platform to help predict irregular periods or highlight fertile periods in your cycle. They state that the app can also flag when symptoms might need medical attention.
What sets Flo apart from its competitors (Clue, Ovia, Glow) is its ability to change from a period tracker to a fertility tracker, and it can even offer valuable insights postpartum. The app is the number 1 period tracker in the UK and US and the most downloaded female health app worldwide, with over 70 million monthly users. And in the wake of the Supreme Court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Flo has responded to its users' concerns by implementing an anonymous mode to prevent personal details from being linked to fertility data.
Historically, it has proved difficult for companies to get funding for products aimed at women. Flo has largely overcome this and secured significant investment through its funding rounds. This will allow the company to focus on implementing proactive care solutions in the app, amongst other developments, to evolve the service offered.
