- Have worked with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver end-to-end initiatives

What the job involves
- Team: Product, OVO Beyond
- Reporting to: Product Lead
- This role in 3 words: Dynamic, Ownership-oriented, Customer-centric
- Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person
- You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life
- As a Product Manager in the Beyond team, you’ll shape the future of the proposition: creating seamless, app-first customer experiences and building the platforms and capabilities that make them possible
- You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and key stakeholders (including propositions and commercial teams) to deliver innovative ideas in the app. Your work will be guided by customer insights, data, and a cycle of experimentation and iteration
- You’ll be joining a fast-moving, bold thinking, delivery-focused team that strives for speedy, well executed progress
- Own the product roadmap throughout the lifecycle, working closely with the Product Lead
- Put customers at the heart of every decision
- Use data and insight to create hypotheses and test solutions that solve real customer and industry challenges
- Define clear measures of success that link to business and customer outcomes
- Bring a can-do, solution-focused mindset that energises teams and sets new standards for customer-first energy experiences
- Drive rapid progress by identifying the thinnest slice to test and learn quickly
- Translate requirements into clear, actionable JIRA tickets (inc, user stories and ACs)
- Leverage app engagement data, research, customer contact, and feedback to gather insight and inform decisions
- Prioritise initiatives that maximise Beyond’s OKR success, and find ways of articulating the priorities to your squad and the wider business
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including legal, marketing, and propositions – to shape products that enhance customer experience
- Run discovery sessions to identify opportunities and shape innovative solutions
- Champion your product inside and outside your squad, inspiring others about its role and potential

Our take
On average, home energy represents 26% of our carbon footprint. Ovo Energy wants to bring this to zero by providing cheaper, greener and simpler energy to customers. It's analysing meter data to deliver easy, personalised actions, turning electric vehicles into power stations with clever chargers, and building energy-efficient heaters. For households, it's offering is organised into four different energy plans, that include interest rewards on energy credit balance.
In 2020, OVO completed the acquisition of SSE Energy Services' retail arm for £500 million, meaning that the challenger brand now has around 4 million customers in the UK.
While helping Ovo members halve their carbon footprints, the company is also working towards becoming a net zero carbon business by 2035. The challenges ahead for the company include encouraging consumer behaviour change, shifting towards subscription models for home energy use.
