Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in sales analytics, operations, and/or business consulting within the fintech industry
- Strong SQL and BI tool experience (Sigma, etc.) required
- Strong business and technology acumen; experience with Sigma and HubSpot is plus
- Proven ability to deliver results in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Revenue Analytics to join our growing team
- Reporting to the SVP of Partnerships, this person will be responsible for a number of our key projects such as overseeing our revenue and analytics reporting function and developing and tracking our sales team's commission plans and goals
- Furthermore, this person will collaborate closely with the Sales Leadership and Executive teams, providing summary-level analysis and recommendations to help further define our future roadmap for our sales analytics & reporting function
- Lead sales business review meetings with sales leadership and executive team, providing summary level analysis and highlighting opportunities and areas of improvement at the national, divisional, and territory levels
- Provide proactive recommendations on sales strategies including activity trends, targeting and segmentation, territory alignment, and surface insights to key stakeholders
- Oversee all HubSpot reporting and data visualization, operationalize KPIs, and create performance-related reports and dashboards (via Sigma)
- Oversee territory alignment/optimization to ensure optimal sales team structure
- Oversee monthly and quarterly goal-setting for the sales team and monitor performance
- Develop merchant-level reporting for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and automation of reports to merchants
- Provide QBR reporting for mid-size and Enterprise merchants to deliver quality reviews with insights and recommendations that are data-based
- Provide sales and marketing leadership with ad hoc analyses as needed to support informed decisions on business performance
Our take
Historically, bad credit and poor purchasing power have excluded many consumers from buying higher-priced household items. Classic lenders are reluctant to offer plans to those with poor or absent credit pasts, and it can be hard for low-income households to save enough money for upfront purchasing. Kafene, founded in 2019, integrates lease-to-own agreements at point-of-purchase; opening up furniture, appliance, and electronics businesses to underserved consumers.
Lease-to-own is no new concept, but bringing this type of agreement to furniture and similar markets is relatively novel by comparison. Kafene’s toolbox – driven by custom-built technology – underwrites, approves, and enables payment in less than five minutes. Its point-of-sale nature means it does not interrupt the shopping experience and, additionally, consumers can manage existing leases through the website which encourages a positive consumer-lender relationship.
Kafene has seen substantial investment which is set to increase headcount to meet demand from merchants and consumers. Although it is only one of many buy-now-pay-later startups, the market for these platforms is huge and there is certainly room within it for Kafene to continue to grow.
