Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have experience selling SaaS solutions, preferably in the Fraud and Identity space, and a proven ability to navigate the full sales process—from prospecting to closing deals
- This role requires someone skilled in building and managing a strong pipeline, understanding client needs, and effectively positioning GBG’s solutions to drive revenue growth
- Proven sales experience in a SaaS environment, ideally within the Fraud, Identity Verification, or related technology sectors
- Proven track record of new business development and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong experience in managing the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals with enterprise-level customers
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow a sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and lead generation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to quickly learn and understand GBG’s identity and fraud prevention solutions, translating product knowledge into client value
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure solutions meet client needs and market trends
- A results-driven, customer-focused mindset, with a passion for building long-lasting client relationships
- Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities and pipelines
What the job involves
- GBG is seeking a driven Sales Executive to join our high-growth New Business team in the Americas region, reporting to the SVP of New Business
- In this hunter role, the Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for our identity verification and fraud prevention solutions, while also expanding relationships with a select group of existing customers
- Identify and engage new prospective clients to introduce GBG’s identity verification and fraud prevention solutions
- Sell additional products and services to a portfolio of named existing customers
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Understand and effectively navigate the sales process, from initial outreach through to contract negotiations and closing
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure alignment with client needs and market trends
- Stay informed on industry trends and maintain knowledge of GBG’s solutions to position them effectively to potential clients

Now valued at $1.7 billion, the company created an international identity verification service that is its current leading product.
With 21 countries under its wing and companies such as IBM and HSBC using its services, GBG simplifies employee onboarding, cyber security, and personal data protection with a friction-free digital platform.
With international revenues steadily growing, GBG managed to navigate the market from acquired startup to company-acquiring global leader. However, the rocky economic climate in the UK has led to GBG's purchase by US private equity firm GTCR in September 2022, a growing trend among foreign companies in the UK tech industry. Since then, however, GBG has gone on to win contracts with award-winning companies like Shoplazza, indicating that it has retained its momentum post-acquisition.
