What the job involves

Groq's Summer Internship Program runs from May - September and is full-time during the duration of the internship
As a Security Engineer intern, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security posture of our organization
You will work closely with our DevOps, IT, and security teams to automate security and IT operations, ensuring the highest level of security, compliance, and efficiency
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux systems and services, ensuring their security, availability, and performance
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline security and IT operations
Collaborate with other teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, ensuring secure practices and compliance with security standards
Implement and manage security controls, such as IAM, firewalls, and access controls, in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Develop and maintain familiarity with GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage
Participate in vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring activities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of our security documentation, policies, and procedures
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring exceptional customer service
