What the job involves
- Anthropic is seeking a talented Brand Designer specializing in web and interactive design to elevate our visual brand identity and bring our groundbreaking AI products, research, and ideas to life through engaging digital experiences
- In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing captivating web pages, interactive infographics, and immersive digital storytelling experiences that effectively communicate our cutting-edge AI technology to diverse audiences
- Reporting to the Brand-Creative Director, you'll collaborate closely with the design team, Comms & Marketing, researchers, and our policy team to translate complex concepts into visually striking and user-friendly web experiences
- Your expertise in information architecture, communication design, and interactive design will be crucial in creating digital brand assets that not only inform but also inspire and engage our target audiences
- Using data and insights to communicate Anthropic's narrative
- Weaving a brand narrative across different touchpoints, with the ability to produce assets for events, environmental graphics, digital experiences, or print
- Articulating a creative vision by collaborating with other designers, illustrators, photographers, etc
- Communicating ideas and painting a picture of our work through written language (project briefs, written narratives, etc.) weaving our brand narrative together across various outputs
Our take
Funded by Google and founded by ex-OpenAI employees, Anthropic is an AI company focused on building a reliable, innovative AI system. While the company is relatively new to the market it has already launched a highly anticipated AI chat assistant called Claude which is set to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT.
Similar to other chatbots, Claude is accessible through a chat interface and can provide a number of conversation and text-processing tasks. A key point of differentiation is that Claude is designed to produce less harmful outputs than that of the other chatbots that came before it.
While there is much praise for the chat assistant, there is still room for improvement with feedback reporting that Claude is worse at maths and grammar compared to its rival. However, with industry giants like Google backing this company from an early stage, and a monumental Series F round of $13 billion awarded in 2025, the company is planning to enhance Claude and expand its presence in Europe. What's more, Anthropic's commitment to "Constitutional AI" positions it as a leader in the responsible development of artificial intelligence.
