Who you are
- Experience creating meaningful, engaging B2C App experiences, with knowledge on how to take companies forward through added customer value App journeys
- Experience connecting Company Vision to App Roadmap, being comfortable with the accountability which exists through owning the primary channel for Travelex Money Card customers, engaging with senior leadership team members and the board
- Strong analytical capability, identifying opportunities delivering high ROI and Customer LTV
- Great communication skills, from low level technical discussions through to multi-year strategic planning
- A passion for Product first thinking, confident to share your knowledge across the business as Digital takes a leading role in mapping out new ways of approaching challenges
- Ability to judge the needs of an established legacy brand, whilst also understanding the transformation journey, the challenges that come with introducing new ways of working and enjoying the pace that high growth businesses can achieve
- Desire to collaborate with cross-functional, global and technical teams
- Ability to work at pace, balancing Product Discovery and Product Delivery
- Be an organisational leader who can make the impossible, possible through vision, effective communication and continuous feedback
What the job involves
- Own the Global App Roadmap, defining the path towards maximum outcomes with minimal output, doing so based in Data and Insight
- Cultivate a culture of fail-fast, seeking to test-and-learn new ideas, doing so in a way which provides maximum feedback for minimum viability risk
- Enhance existing experiences and be able to take new journeys from 0-1
- Take the lead in global discussions regarding App Strategy, working closely with peers Online and In-Store, to forge strong omni-channel journeys for our customers
- Be a driving force within our in-house, onshore App Squad, including UX and React Native engineers, enabling a high performing team mentality
- Coach junior team members on Product thinking, guiding their career advancement
- Work closely with Customer Insight and Product Marketing team members to ensure we’re solving the right customer problems and maximising product reach

For example, with Nium it launched “Travelex International Money Transfer”, connecting users in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore with over 50 markets across the world. And its partnership with Kayak helps customers plan trips within its overhauled Money Card app.
Travelex has been developing solutions that support their B2B2C aspirations and working with retail distributions to give customers the opportunity to self-serve more at the airport or pre-trip. It also launched "Travelex Plus", a loyalty programme which has had over 150,000 members sign up in less than a year.
