- If you've built scalable systems, shipped real software, and learned from breaking prod a time or two, we want to talk
- 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building web applications or backend services in production
- Familiarity with modern backend languages and frameworks
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar
- Experience working with APIs and relational databases

What the job involves
- Tabs is seeking a senior software engineer to join our Merchant Onboarding team
- We’re building 0→1 and we’ll be defining ways to streamline the onboarding experience, unlock growth, and amplify our internal teams to move quickly
- This team owns the full merchant journey, from onboarding & configuration to the internal tooling that powers our teams
- Our engineers work across real production systems, complex data flows, and product surfaces used by teams who need software they can trust
- We hire people who enjoy taking ownership, learning fast, and partnering closely with teammates to build things the right way
- Our teams solve problems that don't have clear answers
- The work spans new product development, system design, data modeling, and operational scale
- Engineers join Tabs because they want to own meaningful systems, shape how our platform evolves, and learn from talented peers in a fast-moving environment

Our take
Despite the rise of automation within businesses, a massive amount of financial work is still done manually. Tabs believes that this workload needs to be moved to modern, automated software, so it provides a platform that does just that.
Tabs' AI-powered accounts receivable platform empowers B2B businesses to optimize their AR processes, saving them time, improving cash flow and reducing the rate of billing errors. The platform can do this because its AI is capable of reading and understanding commercial contracts, which until now required the eye of an experienced finance professional.
The company already boasts a number of clients such as Pelago, Findigs and Volta. A 2024 influx of funding has set the company up for further development and growth and cements it as one to watch.
