Our take

Welcome to the Jungle (WTTJ) is a tech start-up and media company that explores the world of work. Their mission is to give work a more sustainable place in our lives.

Beyond a typical recruitment site, it offers a platform to help companies attract, hire, and engage top talent. They also produce regular educational media content for recruiters and employees alike.

The company has received significant funding and expanded from France into Czech Republic. Through the recent acquisition of this platform Otta, WTTJ plans to strengthen its international expansion in the UK, USA and across Europe. It plans to do this by providing a more comprehensive experience for both companies and candidates

Today, over 5,500 companies across various industries showcase their workplace culture on WTTJ through exclusive content, team photos, interviews, and key statistics

Nearly 2.5 million unique visitors actively explore companies, apply for jobs, and engage with our original media and content each month. Their impact extends beyond the platform, resonating with a community of 1.7 million followers across various social media platforms.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Welcome to the Jungle

Noëlla Gavier (Chief People Officer)

  • At Welcome to the Jungle, we are striving to give work a more sustainable place in our lives. It is also our belief that work must be designed to better respect work-life balance, to help us find more fulfilment in our jobs.
  • As we embark on our journey to become a global brand, it is important that we grow a diverse workforce to ensure our product is the most accessible and inclusive it can be, in order to give everybody the opportunity to experience our goal of a better work life balance.
  • For now, we have a 60% female workforce across three different countries and have set up a small number of ERGs including a Jungle Pride committee, who host regular events, and a Disability Circle, who help to improve our product from an accessibility standpoint. This is just the start, however, as we become a more global brand we want to continue to think smart about how we can become even more inclusive.
  • Lastly, whilst our benefits are reflective of our mission, we also recognise how they inspire more inclusion in our workplace. For example, we operate a 4-day work week which, beyond offering more work-life balance, can support people with caring duties and reduce stress & workplace burnout.
  • As well as our 4-day work week, we have enhanced parental leave at Welcome to the Jungle, and believe firmly in treating parents equally. This means we give parents the same career opportunities, access to promotions and professional development and regular pay reviews whilst on leave. We also see all parents equally, meaning our parental leave is the same across either caregiver.
  • It is our hope to give work a more sustainable place in our lives, so that people can really be themselves outside of work. For the time we do spend at work together, it is our mission to ensure everybody feels a sense of belonging.
