Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as an IT Director or similar role
- Sound understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Experience in controlling information technology budget
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the organization
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
What the job involves
- Under the supervision of the VP Digital Employee Experience, this position is designed to support the Corporate IT functions of the operations based in the UK, US and NL with best in class Corporate IT Technologies
- The position is in charge of a team of IT specialists and manages the implementation of new IT systems, functional changes and policies for end-users in the LG Central entities
- As part of the role the individual will supervise the Operations of the Corporate IT platforms ensuring the business is underpinned with robust, performant and reliable services
- This position will have overall accountability for the development of the LG Corporate IT platform strategy and will be accountable for managing the budget associated with the required investments to deliver on this roadmap
- This position will also be responsible for managing our key platform partners to ensure that they are delivering the vital services and service levels required to support the LG end user base
- This position will be the authority for Corporate IT and will be positioned as the technology evangelist and DWT guru for improving the perception of the platforms and owning the technology choices we make
- Oversee UK, US and NL based IT Engineering staff and operations
- Support the Corp IT vision and strategies as it relates to the organization's infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
- In conjunction with the Group Security team, manage the security posture of the Corporate IT environments to ensure compliance with LG policies
- Ensure all platforms are well maintained, with security vulnerabilities quickly addressed and are scaled accordingly to the business needs
- Consult senior-level partners across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by supervising systems performance
- Provide direction and mentorship to our delivery partners
