• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Desirable

• We are looking for a superstar Financial Accountant to take the company through its next phase of growth
• Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for Salary Finance’s financial and regulatory reporting, helping to improve processes and controls to build a best in class finance function
• The role will involve great responsibility from day 1 and an opportunity to see the immediate impact of your actions on the development of the business
• Manage AP resource to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments
• Manage AR resource to ensure accurate sales invoicing and develop internal processes
• Prepare and post month-end journals as part of the management accounts close process
• Own the month-end accounts for our main operating entity, in accordance with the financial control framework and to the agreed timetable
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including key control analysis and undertaking variance investigations
• Assist in the annual external audit for four entities, including provision of supporting information and responding to audit queries
• Assist in the preparation of annual tax computations
• Prepare quarterly VAT Returns and partial exemption calculations
• Proactively identify areas of process and control improvement and work with the team to improve and automate processes
• Support the CFO and FC on ad-hoc strategic projects as required
