- Demonstrable experience in managing, developing and securing new business, consistently exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling to C-suite level, with knowledge of both agency side growth and brand side services procurement
- Experience using Salesforce to manage pipeline, renewals and targets
- Forward sales planning

- Impressive written and creative writing skills

- Ability to forecast accurately using Salesforce and its associated software and reporting assets

What the job involves
- As part of the Memberships Team, this role is pivotal to the development, growth and success of The Drum's membership products
- The postholder will work closely with the head of membership sales and the rest of the memberships team to generate new business and effectively manage existing client accounts with the goal of growing the membership base while renewing and upselling members every year
- This role will be focused on retaining and renewing existing customers, securing new business, and growing The Drum’s membership offering amongst some of the world’s leading agencies and adtech/ martech businesses
- You will be responsible for meeting revenue targets across all of The Drum’s membership products. Additionally, you will support initiatives to simplify the overall experience for members across all Drum Membership offerings
- Build strong relationships with existing clients, understand their business needs, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction and retention
- Initiatives to support the collection of useful customer and prospect data for business growth
- Conduct persuasive and professional sales presentation / demos to potential clients, highlighting the unique value propositions and benefits of our membership products
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our membership products and stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our offerings to clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and the Brand Product team to ensure seamless delivery and ongoing success of our membership modules
- Contribute to the documentation of process and training materials, proactively sharing your knowledge with colleagues
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, referrals, and other sales techniques
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by actively prospecting and closing new membership product sales
- Negotiate terms and pricing to close sales deals while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
- Gather feedback from clients regarding their experience, requirements, and suggestions to contribute to product enhancement and overall customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, client interactions and pipeline stages in the CRM system
