Who you are
- If you thrive on the thrill of the hunt, strategic prospecting, and navigating complex sales cycles to land significant deals, we want to hear from you
- 3-5 years of proven outbound sales experience in a B2B tech environment, specifically focused on new business acquisition
- A strong knowledge of SaaS sales and a track record of consistently winning multi-year 4-6 figure deals from net-new clients (mid-size and enterprise)
- Fluency in German, enabling effective communication in key markets
- A curious mindset and a strong technical aptitude, eager to understand our product deeply and articulate its technical advantages to diverse audiences. An engineering background is a significant plus
- Exceptional ability to identify, qualify, and engage new prospects through proactive outbound activities
- Self-motivated, hard-working, and a fast learner with an exceptional ability to communicate with and orchestrate multiple stakeholders (internal and external) throughout the sales cycle
- The capability to assemble information from various sources and craft compelling, value-driven propositions that resonate with new prospects and lead to successful conversions
What the job involves
- In this pivotal outbound role, you'll be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and securing strategic net-new accounts
- You'll introduce our comprehensive digital document solutions to businesses focusing in DACH, solving complex document challenges and building the foundation for long-term partnerships
- Pioneer New Business: Proactively identify, research, and target high-potential enterprise and mid-market accounts for new customer acquisition through strategic outbound prospecting (cold outreach, networking, social selling, etc.)
- Strategic Engagement: Initiate and lead the sales cycle with new prospects, from initial contact to discovery, solution presentation, and negotiation. Effectively communicate the value proposition of Pdftools' solutions, tailoring pitches to address specific customer pain points in document lifecycle management
- Collaborative Selling: Work closely with the Sales Leadership Team, Product Managers, and Solution Engineers to develop tailored proposals, navigate technical discussions, and ensure that our solutions align perfectly with potential clients' needs
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to continuously refine your outbound strategy and identify new market opportunities for Pdftools
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions to secure profitable multi-year deals

PDFs might be the bane of many employees’ existence, but they are not going anywhere. Smallpdf was created to ease the pain of converting, compressing and editing documents.
The company has focused on increasing the efficiency of handling PDFs wherever workers might encounter them. That has led Smallpdf to prioritise integrations with other major enterprise software companies such as Dropbox.
The startup is not happy to sit with its 25M+ unique users per month and is looking to acquire more customers through providing its services on additional platforms. Think fully-fledged native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
