Role
Who you are
- 4-8 years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on data products or analytics platforms
- Prior experience in fintech, SaaS, or data-heavy environments, ideally working with or at financial institutions
- Strong collaboration experience with data engineering, BI teams, and business analysts
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes)
- Comfortable with AI/ML and identifying opportunities for innovative applications
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and the product development lifecycle (PDLC)
What the job involves
- Lead the strategy and growth of MANTL’s data product offerings. This role will focus on driving the evolution of our reports, dashboards, and data access tools, such as DirectSQL, which provide valuable insights to financial institutions
- Additionally, you will explore opportunities to enhance data integration experiences via our admin console and leverage AI/ML technologies across our products
- This is a high-impact role, essential to our mission of delivering exceptional data-driven insights and solutions to our customers
- You develop and executed a product strategy for data products that aligns with MANTL’s business objectives
- You manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring continued growth and adoption
- You own the evolution of data products. Including: analytics dashboards, reports, and other key data tools used by financial institutions to track performance
- You collaborate with customers, business analysts, and internal stakeholders to identify use cases and pain points
- You lead efforts to enhance self-service capabilities through data access products
- You explore opportunities to enhance data integrations through UI improvements within the admin console
- You Identify and develop practical AI/ML applications that complement our data products
- You work closely with engineering to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data flows
- You collaborate with design, product, and development teams to enhance the usability and functionality of data tools
Our take
Credit unions and community banks make up a large proportion of the roughly 10,000 banks in the US, but many of these small organizations struggle to provide key online services. Lacking the budgets to build the software needed, they usually outsource their services to legacy providers with outdated, decades-old software.
MANTL, originally established as a challenger bank, quickly realized a gap in the market and now provides digital account opening products to community banks and credit unions. Compared to older competitors such as Fiserv and Jack Henry, MANTL is able to open an account in less than 3 minutes rather than days or even weeks, and reduces fraud by more than 60%.
MANTL's success can be partly attributed to a nationwide shift from physical in-branch banking to mobile platforms, which has encouraged many more people to use apps for making deposits. This trend is showing no sign of slowing down, and with a customer base serving hundreds of thousands of people and a high degree of investment, MANTL is well poised for future success.
