Role
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years work of professional work experience as a backend developer
- Experience with AWS services, especially AWS Lambda
- Familiarity with serverless architecture and best practices, with a focus on AWS Lambda deployment
- Strong understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including database design and optimisation
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think critically in difficult situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies
- Collaboration and teamwork with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and contribute positively to team dynamics
- Training in algorithms and data structures is an advantage (e.g. an IT degree)
- Fluent English (knowledge of German is an advantage)
What the job involves
- Your contribution to the engineering team will be paramount to the success of our ERP project
- In collaboration with frontend developers and other team members, you will play a central role in architecting, developing and maintaining a scalable and reliable backend for our ERP system
- Improve the quality and performance of our application through expertise in TypeScript and AWS Lambda and foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the team
- Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of backend services and APIs using TypeScript. Work closely with our frontend developers to smoothly integrate frontend components into backend services
- Optimise and troubleshoot backend code for performance and scalability and ensure smooth operation of our ERP applications
- Participate in code reviews, provide technical assistance and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes

As life has gotten more and more busy, ready meals have increased in popularity, but today’s consumers choosing convenience do not want to sacrifice nutrition or taste. In response, Juit provides meal boxes of chef-cooked meals, developed by nutrition experts.
There is no shortage of online meal providers, but many use sign-ups and weekly delivery as their only option for customers. Juit does not follow a subscription model, allowing consumers to tailor their meal boxes easily, with dish recommendations every week and a variety of sizes. As meals are frozen, there is no threat of food waste from overordering or skipping days.
Juit is a project of the Oetker Group, one of Europe’s largest food and beverage conglomerates, launched as a part of their shift towards a digital future for food products.
