Who you are
- The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to continue to learn, to develop and to explore ideas; to demonstrate strong design and coding skills, and, above all, have a passion for quality
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong C/C++ skills gained in a commercial environment
- Deep understanding of concurrency and related design patterns
- A solid understanding of software testing techniques including writing unit tests
- Confident in Git
- Strong problem-solving skills

- MFC
- Good understanding of how memory allocation works behind the scenes, experience with writing custom memory allocators
- Experience of developing high performance / multi-threaded applications on Windows, Linux and/or MacOS
- Experience with other languages including C#, Rust and/or Python

What the job involves
- Join the team that creates PlayStation development tools used by thousands of game developers, testers, artists, and producers to make every PlayStation game
- Working with experienced colleagues, you will play a fundamental role developing and improving our Target Management tool suite, primarily the Memory Analyzer tool
- Analysis of customer requirements to produce maintainable designs
- Develop and deliver work to schedule
- Participate in code and documentation reviews
- Provide estimates for tasks
- Provide guidance to technical writers producing documentation
- Work with support engineers on customer issues

Its consoles are iconic in the gaming community - Playstation has produced both the top-selling and fastest-selling console of all time - and the company is still pushing boundaries. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
