Role
Who you are
- We are looking for people who want to become a Frontend Lead
- Someone who wants to help other developers develop through line management
- Someone who wants a balance between leading and coding on the product
- Someone who has experience at least as a Senior SE2 frontend developer
- Experience mentoring other developers
- Someone who is enrolled in / has completed our Leadership Development programme or a similar programme
What the job involves
- You might have seen some of Kraken field in the office but what do we actually do? So we deal with engineers in the field or people’s homes
- Kraken Field is building a standalone product. So that means we could be sold without Kraken customer but at the moment we are marketed to clients with Kraken customer
- Right now we are working with Octopus Energy Services and their low carbon tech engineers to provide an exceptional client experience
- We’re making converting homes to green electrons as simple as possible, by building a platform to allow engineers to install smart meters, solar panels, heat pumps, EV chargers, and more
- We’re busy launching in new territories, working with ever more engineers and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated solution to retrofit homes across the world - all in the name of making it as easy and cheap as possible for customers to go green
- Kraken Field is made up of multifunctional, multinational squads. These squads contain product, backend, design, mobile, web working together on an aspect of Kraken field
- Our team is expanding enough to need a second frontend lead. We are mainly looking for someone who wants to grow into the role
- Someone who’ll start off line managing 2-3 developers. The expectation is that line management will be an aspect of the role but will be able to code and develop Kraken Field
