- Competent in the use of Jira for managing software development
- Competent in the use of FullStory for behavioural analysis
- Competent in the use of Figma and Figjam for design collaboration and workshopping
- Competent in the use of generative prototyping tools (e.g. Figma Make, Lovable)
- Competent in the design, implementation and tracking of A/B tests
What the job involves
- As the Senior Product Manager you'll play a big role in shaping the future of our platform through outcome-driven development and a bold, innovation-led roadmap
- Working closely with Product Design, Engineering, and Data, you will be responsible for discovering, assessing, prioritising, and executing new features, services and capabilities for our customers and internal users
- You will take ownership of a set of business capabilities (detailed below), setting the vision, identifying your strategic workstreams and key metrics, and working with a full-stack development Squad to execute, partnering with other Squads as appropriate
- Own the end-to-end problem spaces for your capabilities, defining clear outcomes that drive customer and business impact
- Set product direction for your business capabilities, using insight, data, and judgement to build and manage your backlog with a clear focus on the what and why
- Lead discovery, working with design, data and engineering to deeply understand user needs and test solutions before scaling
- Make high-quality decisions under uncertainty, balancing speed, risk, and long-term value
- Align stakeholders around strategy and trade-offs, bringing clarity where there is ambiguity
- Translate strategy into execution through epics and user stories with appropriate level of acceptance criteria and test scenarios to ensure you and your squad focus on the highest-impact opportunities
- Drive measurable impact, defining success metrics and using data to validate progress and inform next steps
- Foster strong product, data, and engineering collaboration, creating an environment of shared ownership and high standards
- Collaborate across Squads to create alignment and improve efficiency
- Spot opportunities and risks early, adapting plans based on changes in the market, technology, or business context
- Understand the technical landscape deeply enough to ask the right questions, anticipate risks, and identify where technical decisions create product opportunity or constraint
- Lead sprint review and stakeholder meetings, demonstrating features and taking feedback from partners

Our take
Brighton-based MPB’s used camera and photo equipment marketplace has been going through a period of rapid growth of late, reflecting the boom in the European used goods marketplace as a whole.
The company joins the likes of Wallapop (Spain) and Vestiaire Collective (France) in a coterie of second-hand buy & sell platforms that have risen in popularity and received major funding as a result. While used goods platforms have always been very popular online, MPB and its ilk’s niche market approach is paying off. The public conscience surrounding sustainability and circular economies no doubt plays a role in this.
However, the main factor behind the company's sharp growth may be the rise of online content creators, which has created a greater demand than ever for quality film and photo equipment. With no sign of demand slowing for MPB’s platform, the company is aiming to ramp up operations across its locations in Brighton, Berlin, and Brooklyn, and possibly expand further afield.
