Who you are
- We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial mind to join us growing the Merantix AI Campus
- Entrepreneurial, with a growth mindset and the confidence to own projects
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing across a lot of moving pieces at once
- Curious about AI and innovation, and happy navigating those conversations with founders and investors
- Experience with CRM tools, lead generation, or growth/sales operations
- Familiarity with marketing or content tools such as Canva, social media platforms, or similar
- A previous internship in a similar fast-paced or startup environment
- Based in Berlin and available full-time for ideally 6 months

What the job involves
- As our Strategy & Ops Intern, you'll be right at the center of expanding our community. You will be owning growth projects end-to-end, from identifying the right startups and partners to bring into our ecosystem, to keeping our CRM clean and our pipeline moving
- You'll work hand-in-hand with our growth and marketing team, so no two weeks look the same
- Own, execute, and steer high-impact growth projects. You will be working on topics from lead identification and scoring to CRM management and outreach to prospective startups, partners, and members
- Take on strategic projects that shape how the campus grows. Build workflows and automations and ideate new formats or initiatives
- Strengthen relationships with leading AI startups, infrastructure companies, and industry leaders
- Shape the topics of our events and initiatives, bringing your own ideas
- Support the marketing team in bringing our community's work to a global audience. You will be working on event content, recaps, and social media, using tools like Canva
- Keep our engine running smoothly. You deliver sharp, timely materials and communication, aligned with our stakeholders
Our take
Predictive AI is the most significantly growing tech field of this century. Merantix aims to apply machine learning to sectors that can benefit most from it. After a robust, highly selective vetting process, Merantix identifies founders and collaborates to provide support and funding to scale their businesses. The company integrates all areas of AI, building a complete talent pipeline and fund for venture scaling. Successful examples include Vara, SiaSearch, and Cambrium.
Merantix differentiates itself from typical venture capital firms through its approach. While most VCs invest in established businesses, spreading funds across many companies and taking losses while focusing on winners, Merantix tries to pick winners at the earliest stage.
The launch of an AI Campus in 2021 significantly increased the company's ecosystem, allowing it to explore new fields. Through strategic partnerships with SoftBank and the AI City project in Dubai, Merantix is growing. It has incubated ten successful startups so far and aims to produce even more in the coming years. Merantix is raising a new €103 million fund to co-invest in startups, marking its largest fund yet. This fund, with investors including the WK Kellogg Foundation and Union Investment, will be allocated to co-investing into around 40 external and incubated startups, and supporting existing investments.
