Role
Who you are
- 6+ years working for a B2B SaaS-based technology company as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, or related technical product demonstration capacity
- 2+ years of managing a team of sales engineersExperience working with financial institutions (preferred)
- A strong interest in technical or software sales, and especially digital banking
- Strong technical or product foundation, with the ability to learn technical concepts quickly and explain them to a customer who may not know as much as you do
- Outstanding communication skills; comfort presenting to and influencing C-Suite and VP level stakeholders at financial institutions
- Experience driving or supporting the end-to-end sales process—in either a sales engineering role or something similar
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
What the job involves
- Narmi is looking for a Lead Sales Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of talented sales engineers to accelerate Narmi’s revenue growth through technical demonstrations and solutions assessments
- They will align the technical expertise of the team with the strategic goals of Narmi while remaining a “hands on” contributor and are directly involved in opportunity strategy and execution
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of high performing sales engineers
- Develop and scale a comprehensive technical sales strategy that aligns with the company’s overall revenue goals and objectives
- Partner with relevant teams cross Narmi (product, implementation, platform success, and customer success teams) on behalf of the sales team to impact solutions and strategies related to Narmi’s product roadmap
- Engage in consultative conversations with financial institutions as they assess their own capabilities, needs, and ability to integrate with our platform
- Digest new features from the product and engineering teams from a technical standpoint. Be extremely on top of product roadmap and ongoing releases
- Be the go-to Narmi product expert for the sales team who will develop and present technically-oriented solutions assessment for prospective financial institutions along their sales journey
- Showcase a deep understanding of the Narmi Platform’s features and functionality
- Be an expert in competitor and partner solutions similar to the Narmi platform
Our take
The digitisation of the banking world, led by the likes of Monzo, Wise and N26 and adopted by legacy banks, threatens to leave smaller institutions behind. With over half of Americans doing most of their banking online, and just under half of the banking market share held by banks outside the top 15, Narmi is allowing its clients to close this gap.
Narmi provides cloud-based technology to credit unions, regional and community banks, allowing them to provide secure digital onboarding and e-banking to consumers and small businesses. Today, financial institutions with billions of dollars in deposits use Narmi to increase profitability, deposits, and accounts.
The company has decided to target the grassroots, with whom local banks are more popular, particularly older customers who have only recently turned to digital banking. This approach has won it the confidence of Greycroft, NEA and Picus Capital, who co-led its 2022 Series B funding round. Narmi is using these funds to continue its impressive growth through several high-profile partnerships with the likes of Treasury Prime and First Bank.
