- 3-4 plus years as an People Business Partner preferably in product and engineering

What the job involves
- The HR Business Partner will be responsible for HR support for Tekion's team across product and engineering functions within the organization
- You will be instrumental in building out the team in a period of high growth and, in doing so, working cross functionally with senior leadership across the organization
- This position reports to the Director of People Partners
- Support business leaders in product and engineering and managers to unleash the full potential of their teams through enhancing talent and organizational capability
- Passionate about a fast-paced environment where business and people decisions are made quickly
- Ability to drive performance management and accountability via cascading goals structure through an organization
- Strong advocate for employee engagement measurement and thoughtful program design to measure improvements
- Desire to drive leadership effectiveness via coaching and development programs including 360's and direct feedback
- Improve and simplifying processes, tools, communications, and execution of HR Services
- Drives key people initiatives and executes enterprise-wide HR programs, processes and practices across Tekion
- Interprets complex information, to offer informative and factual guidance and advice
- Acts as an employee champion and change agent to proactively improve the work environment, build morale, increase productivity and retention
- Assess and anticipates HR-related needs by analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Ensures regulatory compliance with Federal, State and local legal requirements to reduce legal liability
Our take
Car dealerships suffer from an inefficiency problem. The paperwork and administration required to complete a sale requires dealers to manage a disjointed set of various software applications. Tekion is offering an enticing remedy - a cloud-based automotive retail system that integrates the various software applications in a single infrastructure.
Competition has been strong, with rivals CDK Global and Reynolds & Reynolds offering a competitive raft of features, and benefiting from strong prior relationships with dealerships. Tekion, however, has nevertheless secured customers for the software in 28 states - likely in part due to the efficiency of partnering with a single growing service as opposed to a disparate spread.
This momentum shows no signs of slowing either, as Tekion has attracted attention from major players like CMC, Chrysler, and Chevrolet. By streamlining dealership operations into a single platform, the company is proving that even in a crowded market, innovation and simplicity can win over both dealers and industry partners.
