Meeting fatigue has been a problem for a long time, and it’s only getting worse. The switch to remote working has the average worker spending over 20 hours per week on calls - a 500% increase, by some measures. Katch is a bold new app looking to disrupt this unproductive status quo. Their solution allows users to triage necessary calls by importance, clearly define the parameters of the call, and then receive an alert when both parties have a spare and appropriate moment to carry it out.
The value proposition for users and companies alike is clear: no wasted administration, and more time (and peace of mind) for productive, creative, or personal activities.
The app was recently released into the Apple App Store and is currently receiving feedback, so its success remains to be seen. But the concept is in good hands with their leadership and co-founded team which includes Alessandra Knight, Edwin Akrong, and Paul Murphy, all of whom are veterans in the startup world. With “Zoom fatigue” and the appetite for productivity solutions at an all-time high, Katch certainly has a strong shot at taking off.
