Who you are
- In-depth Product Management experience within a technical environment, preferably in gaming
- Experience prioritizing features effectively based on user insights, business context and data, then making strong recommendations and trade-offs to iterate quickly
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-informed decision-making, quantitative and qualitative user research and discovery

- We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, who is highly customer-focused, team-oriented, and has a real bias for action

- You are comfortable inspiring our teams with vision, and also willing to get your hands dirty with the daily work of the team
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager for our Matchmaking system, you will work cross-functionally with design, engineering and product marketing, as well as other cross-functional teams, to build a world-class experience for our players, matching them with players of similar skill and facing them against the toughest challenge, and grinding the rankings
- Develop a deep understanding of our players, both existing and potential, across all games, by conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences
- Collaborate on the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics required to deliver new features and experiences for our play propositions for both paid and free users
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product marketing, as well as other cross-functional development teams, to build experiences that delight users, including writing requirements, participating in team rituals, and playtesting new features
- Own major feature launches within the team and with other teams across Digital Platform
- Utilise data to prioritize, measure success, and iterate on product improvements
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback
Our take
Young people are increasingly turning away from traditional media, and gaming has in recent years become a professional spectator sport that draws huge online crowds. FACEIT is a competitive gaming platform that allows developers to run their own online tournaments, providing ranking charts, skill-based matchmaking and anti-cheat software to ensure that these events are as fair as any traditional sporting competition.
The esports market is projected to be worth about £4.5 billion globally by 2030, and FACEIT has attracted large scale investments as it continues to innovate in this market. Not all of its moves have panned out - for instance its foray into crypto gaming in 2022 could have come at a better time, but its pivot to non-intrusive in-game advertising has been well received by developers and is a testament to the adaptability of the company.
FACEIT is continuing to release and support new gaming products, for instance a car racing tournament released in colloboration with RENNSPORT, where established esports teams and car manufacturers will compete for a prize pool of €500,000. An Overwatch tournament launched in 2024 with a cash prize pool of $170,000. As the esports market shows no sign of slowing down, FACEIT will remain in a strong position to grow alongside it.
