Finance Executive, Playfinder

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Basic understanding of financial principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software, Xero
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Desirable

• Responsible for ensuring all income and liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reviewed in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage and deliver the monthly financial close process, including transaction analysis, raising invoices for all product/client types, and preparation of required journal entries
• Account for the deferral of revenue and ensure accurate recognition and reporting across the relevant accounting periods
• Monitor both merchant and connected Stripe accounts to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted flow of transactions
• Oversee and manage accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely collection and effective credit control
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to review, validate, and clear balance sheet control accounts
• Prepare VAT returns / associated reconciliations in accordance with statutory requirements
• Monitor and resolve Stripe disputes promptly to maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct monthly monitoring and reconciliation of escrow ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Monitor and analyse budget vs forecast vs actual performance for both revenue and operational expenses to support business performance reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial insights and provide analytical support for informed decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and board of directors
• Expense handling in Xero
