Mobile/Web Software Engineering Manager, Lantern

• You should have experience developing large-scale web and mobile solutions using modern cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS, backend technologies such as .NET or Python, and front-end frameworks like React or Angular—plus experience with React Native for mobile development

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Master’s degree in engineering or related field is a plus
• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong proficiency in C#, Python, React Native, Nodejs or similar
• Proven experience leading software development teams specializing in web and mobile applications
• 6+ years of experience with designing and consuming REST APIs
• 3+ Experience developing for mobile apps for iOS and Android app stores
• 5+ years of experience developing with Microsoft SQL (preferred) or other relational databases
• Experience working OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization flows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with related tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Strong Experience with Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and agile delivery methodologies

• You’ll guide the application and mobile engineering teams as they design, build, and enhance the features that power our products and services
• In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with business and technology leaders to deliver high-quality software that meets real user needs and drives Lantern’s mission forward
• Lead a team of developers to design, develop and deploy web and mobile applications in cloud native environment
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development
• Hands-on role with ability to work on technical design documents, code and deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish timelines
• Drive the implementation of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget
• Act as a point of contact for technical escalations and provide timely resolutions to issues
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and gather feedback
