Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, Avalere Health

• Understanding basic principles of accounting and Finance
• 2+ years’ experience in accounts payable
• Preferred experience in Access dimension Software or similar software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Intermediate Excel skills
• Effective communication skills, including written, oral, and interpersonal skills

• We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our accounts payable team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
• The accounts payable specialist will have an impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners
• Supports the Finance team in the day-to-day management of Accounts payable processes
• Strengthen and grow relationships with suppliers and employees
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
• Review and process invoices with proper approvals (which also includes project related invoices) across multiple entities in the US with appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Maintain AP inbox and manage all queries
• Review employee Travel & Expense (T&E) costs with adequate documentation, complying with existing T&E policy
• Upload AmEx credit card statements and process these expenses in system
• Reconcile payable related ledger accounts
• Prepare weekly AP aging reports and work with the Controller on any queries related to payments
• Coordinate payments to vendors and employees via ACH/ Wire
• Support the finance team during the month end close process
• Provide documentation and backup for all audit requests
• Assist with preparing and processing 1099 statements and any ad hoc requests
