This technology, named for Schrodinger’s infamous cat, is able to reduce hardware requirements, promising fault-tolerant quantum computing at scale. With over 90 employees and pioneering experimental results, Alice & Bob has notable achievements, including the development of its 16-bit Helium 1 quantum processing unit.
Recognised for its ground-breaking work, Alice & Bob recently received a hefty innovation grant that will support its work moving forwards. Through projects like "Cat Factory," in collaboration with academic partners, the company aims to optimise quantum computation infrastructure, making it more cost-effective and market-ready and ultimately building "the first universal quantum computer”.
