What the job involves
- We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and help build and scale the APIs and services powering Figment’s staking platform.
- You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to develop backend services, work with relational databases, and contribute to the reliability and maintainability of our infrastructure
- In this role, you will also learn how different blockchains work and help build APIs that abstract the complexity of blockchain SDKs, enabling seamless integration with our systems
- Developing and maintaining backend services using Ruby on Rails
- Building APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) leveraging ActiveRecord for database models, relationships, and queries
- Developing JavaScript-based APIs to simplify blockchain interactions and facilitate integrations
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop new features
- Ensuring high-quality, maintainable code with robust test coverage
- Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and team discussions
