Who you are

5+ years of professional work experience as a web engineer
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Rock-solid comprehension of software engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in a few programming languages. JavaScript and Python are strongly preferred
Deep experience in web development, including both frontend and backend. Experience in one of the major frontend frameworks such as React/Next.js/Vue
Proficient with relational databases such as Postgres
Strong communication skills. Good at writing concise documents
Desire and passion to work in an early-stage startup. Comfortable handling ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

What the job involves

As a highly motivated web engineer, you will be instrumental in building the web components to supercharge our system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks
Ensure quality through thorough automated testing to support critical business operations
Manage deployment, monitoring, and reliability to be responsible for the full lifecycle of the web product

Until recently, brands and publishers lacked a practical means to interact in real-time, 1-1 conversations and provide content with customers both on and off their digital platforms. Firsthand is a specialised AI agent platform designed to cater to the needs of publishers and brands.

The platform offers a solution that enables publishers and brands to manage, safeguard, and utilise their data and content in direct conversational campaigns driven by tailored AI agents. This capability extends to various online channels where consumers actively seek information.

As the company shifts out of stealth stages it is conducting a pilot program with a select group of brands and publishers. As AI continues to evolve, we are sure that the Firsthand product will grow in tandem, pursuing its mission to construct the infrastructure that empowers AI-driven consumer interactions. An exciting time for the company as it emerges in to this billion dollar sector.
