Who you are

  • Salsify is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and driven Strategic Account Executive who has previous SaaS experience and an affinity for solution selling
  • Spent the last 10+ years exceeding an assigned quota within an assigned customer base
  • Sold SaaS to business units and key personas that include CMOs, VPs, & Directors
  • Experience working within a named account model
  • Leveraged and optimized relationships with key accounts in the Fortune 100/500/1000 space
  • Executed multiple complex sales processes concurrently
  • Consistently met and exceeded assigned quota associated with assigned customer base
  • Professional sales training and adherence to a repeatable sales process, experience with MEDDIC is a plus
  • Proven experience with working in remote environments. Location is flexible but must be U.S based

What the job involves

  • As a Strategic Account Executive at Salsify, you will manage some of our largest and most complex customers
  • This includes selling our Salsify PXM Advance platform, associated add-on modules and professional services to large, multi-national, multi-billion dollar brand manufacturers
  • Strategic Account Executives are responsible for taking a strategic sales approach to further sell and expand Salsify’s presence and relationships within a small group of named clients comprised of the most well-known brand manufacturers in the world
  • We have found that the most successful Strategic Account Executives are masterful storytellers who can weave a complex solution into connecting with brands and optimizing how they are navigating the ever-changing e-commerce landscape
  • Salsify is seeing incredible success and growth both internally as well as with our clients. Our Strategic Account Executives are key drivers in Salsify’s continued relationships with our clients on the worldwide stage
  • We are seeking high achievers who continue to set the bar and are true evangelists in their sales approach and follow through
  • Develop and drive thoughtful Strategic Account Planning across your portfolio of customers
  • Manage the executive level relationships at our largest customers to ensure business value is delivered and renewals are executed
  • Work cross-functionally with Salsify’s key internal teams, including sharing updates with the executive team, feeding information to the product/engineering team to help influence the product roadmap, and collaborating with the customer success team to ensure our customers are successful
  • Hunt for new opportunities within our customer base and employ a proven sales process that builds business value, evangelizes Salsify with the support of our internal champions and closes contracts

Our take

Salsify provides eCommerce retailers with a single platform to keep tabs on inventory, and unify and enrich product content descriptions used at all points of sales. The company can also manage customers’ journeys through data analysis which can allow for more personalized, engaging messaging.

As the retail world shifts more towards eCommerce, brands have to give more consideration to the customer’s digital experience from first impression to purchase. This proves challenging as each route to sale differs from the next, which in turn creates the need for a stack like Salsify.

It’s not the only company of its kind, with the likes of Salesforce and Contently having products with similar functions, but Salsify is performing strongly and has an impressive set of customers on its books including Coca-Cola and Mars. Having raised substantial funding, the company reached unicorn status in 2022, with investment cited to enable Salsify to deliver on its vision to serve as the global system of record and work for digital commerce experiences.
