Who you are
- Minimum of 10 years experience in account management or sales, preferably with a focus on national accounts
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with high level negotiations

What the job involves
- EquipmentShare is seeking an experienced and highly motivated National Accounts Manager to manage and grow relationships with our large-scale national accounts within the United States
- This position plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and strengthening the EquipmentShare brand across the nation
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within large national accounts
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategy sessions to assess customer needs and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, etc.) to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Create customized solutions and offerings tailored to meet the unique requirements of national accounts
- Negotiate business contracts on behalf of EquipmentShare
- Manage and lead a team of high performing sales representatives
- Collaborate with legal on terms and conditions
- Develop and execute national account plans that outline resources, budget, and strategies to achieve sales targets
- Monitor account performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders
- Act as the main point of contact for national accounts, resolving any issues and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Represent EquipmentShare at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and build brand presence
Our take
Innovation in automated equipment presents opportunities for increased efficiency for contractors, but this comes at a huge financial cost. Furthermore, whilst this equipment is often highly valuable for the completion of a contractor task, the equipment may remain unused for a significant time after task completion.
EquipmentShare provides a telematics platform for contractors called ES Track, a service that facilitates the rental of under-utilised equipment. This is achieved by using the software to determine usage statistics of a piece of equipment, providing insights into financial opportunities a contractor may have in terms of equipment rental.
In addition to presenting itself as the ‘Airbnb of contract equipment’, the company presents further potential by focusing on transforming existing equipment to be fully autonomous. 2023 funding was used to expand its reach, and in combination with providing rental insights, EquipmentShare’s approach is uniquely focused on finding money-saving opportunities for contractors. Its next step is to rally for an IPO, for which it aims to raise more than $777 million.
