The supply chain, logistics, and freight industries have been experiencing a lot of well documented troubles in the last few years due to rising costs, demand, inflation, coupled with the fallout from the pandemic as well as geopolitical issues.
These conditions are creating lots of turbulence, whilst there was a huge increase in investment in tech solutions between 2020 and 2021, 2023 was a sluggish year for investment in the sector. However, Zuum Transportation is one of a number of startups making waves in the space along with the likes of Flexport, ISO, and Saltbox. The company is ambitiously building out what it labels a “super-platform”, featuring digital transformation tools for freight brokers to manage their entire workflow.
High-profile companies are already on the books including BNSF Logistics, Estes Forwarding Worldwide, and Hyundai Glovi. With Venture funding from Iron Prairie Ventures in 2023, the company’s prospects are looking very bright as it accelerates product development and company expansion.
